Safety

TrustPoint Hospital values the safety of patients and staff above all else. That’s why each nurse on our unit is trained in the Handle with Care model. All members of our nursing team receive eight hours of initial training with subsequent refreshers.

Training & Orientation

New hire nurses can expect a thorough orientation program. New hire orientation is the third Tuesday and Wednesday of every month. Additionally, we provide a two-week orientation for our floor staff, featuring six 12-hour training shifts that are flexible to your schedule.

Units & Shifts

TrustPoint has 12-hour shifts, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. for days and 7 p.m.-7 a.m. for nights.

Shifts offered include:

  • Full time: Three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends
  • Part time: Two 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends
  • PRN pool: Requires a four-shift-per-month commitment

TrustPoint is a unique hospital that has nine specialty units, allowing you to work with a variety of patient populations. Nurses are cross-trained for multiple units.

Co-Occurring 18+ Depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder accompanied by addiction
Child/Adolescent Adolescent behavioral 10+ Depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis
TPMU TrustPoint medical unit 18+ Any adult patient who has the above diagnoses and accompanying medical comorbidities
Physical Rehab and Medicine 13+ Neurological injury resulting in trauma, traumatic physical injuries (self-inflicted wounds, sports injuries, car and farming accidents, stroke recovery, multitrauma, spinal cord injuries, cardiac events, COPD)
