From its 4-foot-wide doors to its huge bathrooms and even wider staircases (constructed for emergencies) - everything about the hospital is geared toward clearing obstacles that could create maneuvering problems for patients.
That includes a 3,000-square-foot rehabilitation gym and an adjoining outdoor garden, which will feature exercise stations.
Rehabilitation Unit
The first floor of TrustPoint is dedicated to rehab services. TrustPoint Hospital's Chief Executive Officer, Craig Bragg, adds that, "About half our patients will be patients with neurological impairments or with major multiple trauma type impairments. We're picking patients up after they've gone through a catastrophic injury or illness, usually a life changing event, helping them adapt to their new physical limitations in a way they're not disabled, they're able to do things in spite of their handicaps.
Behavioral Health Services
The entire second floor is dedicated to patients with depression or behavior issues. Registered Nurse, Cathy Johnson, who serves as TrustPoint Hospital's Chief Nursing Officer, says, "The psych patient that we will be admitting here will have suffered some kind of significant loss, quality of life change, or will be in need of medication management for behaviors. The program is set up to get medications adjusted for the optimal level of functioning in society and to provide therapeutic services to modify behaviors."

Our Rehabilitation Department focuses on several facets of the patient; such as Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Language Pathology. Our team approach bring physicians, nurses, therapists, dieticians, and social workers together to work with both patients and their families.
Rehabilitation Gym
Our gym focuses on all aspects of the patient. We work on physical and occupational therapy modalities. We focus on returning the patient to the highest level of functioning.
Therapy Services
We pay personal attention to patient's functional mobility and TrustPoint has the only outdoor walking track for Rehabilitation Services in the Lubbock area.
Behavioral Health Services
Our behavioral health program is specifically focused to the care of the aging population. We work with multiple facets of the persons psyche. We work with behaviors, dementia, paranoia and any other experiences that effect a persons quality of life. We provide group, individual, family and recreational therapies to return the patient to their highest level of functioning to be returned to the community.
Patient Consultation
Our multidisciplinary team consists of physicians, nurses, therapists, dietitians, and social workers that meet regularly to ensure the needs of our patients are being met or exceeded.
TPH Pharmacy
Our on-site pharmacy allows us to provide an additional level of patient care.
